The one and only Smooth is our ringmaster for tonight’s entertainments and we’ve all got front row seats.

Returning to Evolution Chamber following the release of his debut single ‘Scorpion’ last year, Smooth cracks the whip hard with his first release of 2023. Ripping up every cliché you can imagine about the circus tradition, there’s no time for clowning around and the only animal attraction is the brazen horsepower of the groove as he delivers an outstanding performance of brazen future funk.

With energy and soul levels sharper than a knife thrower hurling blades from a trapeze with a blindfold on, Smooth juggles everything you know about his past work on the some of the biggest labels in our scene – RAM, Blackout, Viper, Eatbrain, Elevate – and the vibes here are a higher than a tightrope walker doing the splits 30 meters in the air without a safety net.

As always with the Slovenian super-producer, every single detail in the production has its right place and pops with all the muscle of a human pyramid and the sweetness of your halftime cotton candy. It’s a sign of things to come, too: 2023 is going to be a massive year for the artist who’s frequently regarded as your favourite producer’s favourite producer. He’s about to drop a whole tonne of science this year… And it starts right now on Evolution Chamber with a ‘Circus’ you’d be proud to run away with.
